A Review Of The Davinci Sleigh Toddler Bed

!±8± A Review Of The Davinci Sleigh Toddler Bed

My daughter was the first of our kids, who are less than a year apart, to leave the crib and we were struggling to decide on whether to go straight to full sized single bed or a toddler bed. We eventually decided on the toddler bed and ended up buying the Cherry DaVinci sleigh toddler bed with no regrets.

The reason we decided on the toddler bed, instead of the full size bed, is because we knew we would get good use out of it with our little boy also being able to use it. Besides that, the price was really reasonable for the quality and it does make the transition from crib to bed much easier.

There were six colors to choose from on the DaVinci sleigh toddler bed, and this was the hardest part to decide on as they all looked really good. We decided on the Cherry as it would work for both my son and daughter and it simply looks great.

We did compare other slay beds, many of them cartoon themed, and we are happy we did not go the cartoon theme route as they seem more flimsy and frankly, we felt the cartoon characters seem to be only flavours of the month. So instead we bought cartoon character "Dora The Explorer' linen and she loves it. I really do suggest thinking long and hard before purchasing a bed that is cartoon printed.

Delivery was quick and the assembly was relatively simple as it took about 30 minutes from opening the box to full setup. I do, however, suggest getting a helper when putting it together as it is possible on your own but a bit of a struggle.

The overall quality of the DaVinci sleigh toddler bed was surprisingly very good considering its price, and we were very happy we chose the Cherry although there are days that we feel the Espresso color may have been a better choice.

The DaVinci sleigh toddler bed is not big or strong enough really for an adult to sit comfortably on, so tucking in happens with us on the floor, but the bed is very low so that is not a huge difference. The bed is only about 20" off the ground and this is great because the protective slats do not cover the whole bed. So if occasionally my daughter does fall off the bed, no harm will be done.

The bed has managed to handle both my 3 year old and 2 year old jumping on it without looking any worse for wear, so after 6 months of having the bed it is still as good as new.

I like that the color stain and varnish is very hard wearing as we can find very little evidence of scratches and chip marks after a few baseball bat hits and cars being thrown at it.

I highly recommend the DaVinci sleigh toddler bed as it really was well worth the money and was an excellent purchase.
